Many kids see bullying every day but they don’t care or try to stop it. Now there are a lot of people talking about bullying. In the 1990s there was no talk about bullying because bullying happens a lot more often than it used to. Bullying needs to stop because it creates fear inside of a kid, it damages them emotionally, and also it can hurt kids physically. Did you know that 7% of kids tell someone who can help bullying?
Bullying creates fear inside a kid. I feel like there is never everyone in the class. I think that is because the kid who is getting bullied is too scared to go to school. They could pretend to be sick. Some of the kids go to school who are bullied but they might not go out for recess because they are terrified of going face to face with the bully. They could hide in the washroom. But being sick or hiding might just make it worse! This is such a big issue all over the world! Would you want to be bullied? Then why are you doing it to other people! You may think they are less then you but a person is a person no matter what. Put yourself in their shoes. Think how they feel.
Bullying can also damage kids emotionally. When you call someone fat think how they feel, do you want them to feel that bad about themselves? If you do that is just sickening to me. That is just unacceptable! That is so cruel! What are you thinking? Take Amanda Todd for example you do one thing wrong and it effects your whole life. She committed suicide. That one thing in her life, just ended her life. She could have been so good at school, and she could have gotten a job.
Bullying also hurts kids physically. Kids are coming home with bumps and bruises. I asked two of my classmates to if they had any experiences with bullying and one said that at recces for no reason at all he was injured by another boy. Clearly bullying can hurt kids so much. I know that I have said this a lot before but you have to put yourself in their shoes, and think how they feel.
Another person that I interviewed said that at a previous school on her walk home a guy from her class was hurtful physically and verbally. She was so surprised by what he said and did. This happened for a week. As you can see bullying happens all around us. If you are getting bullied tell someone and don’t be afraid to do so. Tell someone like your parents, teacher, trusted friend, or even the principal. This will help greatly because they might be able to help because they might be able to help.
Taylor Lautner once said, “If someone is trying to bring you down it only means you’re above them.” This means that bullies are trying to bring you down but it probably will get better. Bullying is such an awful thing because it creates fear inside a kid, it damages kids emotionally, and also it hurts kids physically. Bullying is an awful thing, so if you see it, stop it!!!

How To Stop Bullying
Bullying is the routine of picking up on a person who is physically weaker or has a low social standing. It is different in the way boys and girls carry it out. Boys tend to be physical in their threats whereas girls are mostly verbal. When a person gets bullied, he or she is likely to experience any of three results. The victim experiences negative feelings to the point of considering suicide. In most cases, the victim blames himself or herself for being bullied. Secondly, the victim also suffers mentally and could experience problems such as depression and low self esteem. These two challenges culminate in poor performance at school and the victim might even end up quitting school.
Forms of Bullying
Bullying can be categorised into three main forms. The first form of bullying, mostly common with boys, is the physical one. In this case, a bully can hit or kick his target with the intention of hurting him. In other cases, it is just pushing the victim as a way of imposing power. Even when a bully threatens to do any of these actions it is still bullying. This form of bullying could also include hiding a victim’s items. The other form of bullying, which is mostly feminine, is usually verbal. A bully utilising this form will call her victims names, tease her or insult her. Thirdly there is relationship bullying. With this form bullies ignore their victims, prevent victims from joining their groups or spread false information about a victim.
Ways of stopping bullying
As a victim of bullying, you can take measures to protect yourself from being bullied. First of all, you need to understand your strengths and concentrate on them rather than weaknesses that a bully highlights. With this knowledge, you will be able to implement the other anti-bullying tactic of walking away from the bully. This way, you will deny the bully an opportunity to have control over your emotions as would be the case if you get angry. You could even make this more interesting by adding humour to the situation or just smiling at it. In the even whereby you cannot walk away, keep yourself safe as you get bullied. In addition, you should know that it is never right to get bullied. Therefore, report it whenever it happens. These steps and many others need to be done repeatedly. This way, the bully will leave you alone at some point.
